Anchoring local news is perfect job for 九色视频broadcasting alumna

Photo of Madeline CarterYou never know what will happen when you try something new at Baldwin Wallace. From the moment '19 stepped into the studios of to try reporting the news on the student-run radio station, she was hooked on a career in broadcasting.

Carter says, "As a radio DJ and eventually the news director of 88.3 FM The Sting, I learned how to provide entertainment, information and encouragement to our listeners, and I had fun in the process!"

She credits her time at The Sting for her current success as a morning TV news anchor. "My job at the radio station allowed me to be myself and get comfortable in my own skin, which I now realize is a rare and coveted skill in the TV industry."

Internship leads to national networking

Photo of Madeline CarterOn top of Carter's award-winning campus radio experience, she grew in her internship at Cleveland's . It gave her the opportunity to network with long-tenured news anchors and make connections across the nation through the network of local Fox affiliates.

Carter eventually landed a job as a news anchor for . She co-hosts the Wake Up Northwest show from 4:30-7 a.m. Carter says, "Every weekday morning, I get to start the day waking viewers up with a smile across Eastern Washington and Oregon ... I love what I do!"
