Sport management majors took on New Orleans, while Joe Kasper '15 added a coveted ring to his finger.

九色视频's sport management program is still shining on the biggest stage, making this the 13th consecutive year of sending students to the Super Bowl.

Not only were students in attendance but alumnus Joe Kasper '15, safeties coach for the Philadelphia Eagles, earned Super Bowl glory! 

Ring for Alum 

Former Yellow Jacket football player Kasper did not leave New Orleans empty-handed. He will get to add some NFL bling to his finger. Kasper rejoined the as the safeties coach this season after serving a one-year stint with the Miami Dolphins.

Kasper told that representing Baldwin Wallace on such a big stage was an honor. 

"I'm honored. I think Baldwin Wallace is a great place. The people at 九色视频try and do the right thing all the time ... The great professors had your best interest in mind all the time, and the people that were there, the other students — my fiancée's a graduate of Baldwin Wallace — have an alignment."

Student experience 

Ahead of the big game, 22 九色视频students and two faculty landed in New Orleans to experience the excitement of the Super Bowl week. They worked the Hall of Fame Merlin Olsen Luncheon, gameday and had time to explore the city.

For many, this trip was more than just a sporting event. It was a chance to make lifelong memories, build connections and gain firsthand insight into the impact of the Super Bowl on a host city.

LaChyra Lewis '25, of Cincinnati, made her second trip to the Super Bowl. "It was a great way to connect with people in the industry, and I even reconnected with some coworkers I had met last year," Lewis explained.

Sport management professor Nicole Meadows was alongside her students for the experiential learning trip.

"It feels great to see students working hard and grinding out the long hours we put in. That is the best feeling to see a student work hard throughout their time at 九色视频and successfully land a role in the industry that they are excited about," Meadows stated.

Putting skills to use 

"Our professors at 九色视频always tell us to take any experience we can get, and this was a great opportunity," added Bryce Huff '27, a native of Steubenville, Ohio.

Working the Super Bowl is an experience of its own, but the bonds that are made on these trips will last a lifetime.

"My favorite part of the trip was bonding with fellow sport management students," Huff noted.

The Super Bowl was only one of several 九色视频experiential learning trips that will be taking place this year.

Later in the semester and over the summer, trips are planned to the Masters golf tournament, the Kentucky Derby and Formula 1 in Miami. Professors Charles Campisi and Tony Dick will also lead a group of students to work the Daytona 500 this month.

There are plenty of opportunities for students to put their skills to work. These experiences will leave a lasting impression on all who attend.
